At Aesthetics we use a range of top quality, well researched and safe dermal fillers including Aliaxin, the Belotero range and some JUVÉDERM®. All the collections of filler we use is made from hyaluronic acid (HA).

What’s interesting about HA is that it’s a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume.

Fillers work in a different way to Botox. Dermal fillers actively increase the volume in the area you are concerned about, therefore smoothing it out rather than inactivating the muscle like Botox.

The Aliaxin range is our preferred brand of filler due to its incredible integration into the soft tissue resulting in a super natural result.

We use LMX4 cream (topical local anaesthetic) prior to treatment to numb the area being injected. At Aesthetics, we use tiny gauge needles for anti wrinkle injections, but it is not possible for dermal filler, as it is a gel. Both brands of filler we use contain Lignocaine to make the client as comfortable as possible during the procedure.

Immediately, but if swelling and bruising are present, the best result is after it subsides.

With fillers, sometimes you can have some swelling to the area. Depending on the site, and how conscious you are of it (or the job you do) you may want to take the day off or have treatment when you are off work. Swelling normally goes down within a few days.
