How it Works

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

At Aesthetics, we use one of the leading brands of anti-wrinkle injections. It’s a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines, frown lines, upper lip wrinkles, marionette lines (down-turned mouth corners), chin lines and masseter lines (cheek).

Our Anti-Wrinkle Injections target one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Your specialist will inject these muscles to temporarily reduce muscle activity.

Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. It’s not just about cellular changes that can occur over time, reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals in the sun and the environment. When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. And when you squint, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections works beneath the skin’s surface and targets the underlying muscle activity that causes frown lines and crow’s feet.

Anti Wrinkle Injections can only be used after a full medical check and prescription from a Doctor or Prescribing Nurse.

FAQs

We use ultra fine needles, also known as the invisible needle. It is 14% thinner than a 33g. So while you may feel something, it is certainly not unmanageable.

Usually the maximum benefit is at 2 weeks. Some clients became anxious at the end of the first week. However, after 2 weeks the results are quite obvious unless there is another reason (like presence of antibodies).

Due to the ultra fine needles the risk of bruising is low so you may return to work that day should you wish. The best bit? No one will know!

As with any medicine, there are some potential risks. Your clinician will go through everything you need to know at the consultation stage so you can make an informed decision whether you want to go ahead.
