We provide aesthetic treatments including laser, fat loss treatments to injectables and lots of other things in between. The Aesthetics Clinic
The Aesthetics clinic is based in Frankwell, in the heart of Shrewsbury. The building was fully renovated in 2017 and has several purpose-built treatment rooms perfect for the treatments that Aesthetics specialise in.
The clinic is owned and run by Janine Lewis, a registered nurse. Catherine Davies, who is a leading eyebrow specialist offering microblading, semi-permanent make up, microneedling and scar camouflage at Aesthetics.
The final member of the team is Laura Huggett who is a Cryotherapy specialist, a trained phlebotomist and Foot Health Practitioner. Laura offers cryotherapy for multiple concerns, hair loss treatment, general foot health and skin care including chemical peels and dermaplaning.

Janine Lewis
Independent Nurse Prescriber RGN INP BSc (HONS)
Clinic Owner Janine qualified in 2013 from Staffordshire University. Her background was in Intensive Care Nursing but a passion for skin health had always been present. Janine is married with four children and is lucky to work with two skilled colleagues, who happen to be good friends too.
From Janine:
I started out my career as a Dental Nurse and in the early years found myself working in a forward-thinking dental practice who performed cosmetic treatments. This is where my interest in Medical Aesthetics first began. I began my training as an Adult Nurse and qualified in March 2013 with a first-class honours degree in Adult Nursing. I began working full time in the Intensive Care Unit in 2013.
In September 2017, I took the plunge and opened my own skin clinic, Aesthetics Shrewsbury. Over the years I have completed qualifications in Cosmetic Injectables, including Botulinum toxin, Dermal fillers, Profhilo, Viscoderm Hydrobooster, and Polynucleotides.
I completed an Advanced Laser Aesthetics certificate with a Manchester University accredited course in 2017. As a Registered Nurse I was particularly keen to enter this profession with a good and safe basis of knowledge.
As a Nurse I have a good understanding of skin anatomy, wound healing, medical history taking and care planning as an autonomous practitioner. Safety is the basis of everything we do, so don’t be surprised if I ask lots of questions!
In 2020, I completed the Independent Nurse Prescribing V300 course enabling me to independently prescribe medications relevant to my role, making my practice safer and more time efficient.
Since 2017, I have been a full member of the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN), and I attend their training and conferences regularly to keep up to date with the latest recommendations both in safety and the advancements of the sector. I am also a member of the Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative group, a large worldwide group of Medical Aesthetic injectors including, Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists, Dentists, Doctors and Nurses of all specialities.
I regularly meet with other local Aesthetic Nurses and Doctors for peer support and revalidation.
Catherine Davies
Microblading and Semi permanent make up technician trained by the esteemed Adorn make up academy.
Microblading and Semi permanent make up technician trained by the esteemed Adorn make up academy. I have over 8 years of experience in permanent cosmetics and am based in clinics in both Shrewsbury and Oswestry. Cathy Is married with two children.
Catherine specialises in natural realistic hair strokes, combined with tattooing if clients wish for a more defined brow. She also provides semi-permanent make up to define the line of the lips, and colour to the body for faded / ageing lips.
She also can give the eyes more definition with an eye liner – a very popular treatment. She is qualified in microneedling, scar camouflage and saline tattoo removal.
Getting the most natural beautiful results should be a two way process…
I have studied extensively the ART of permanent cosmetics both through theory and constant practice. I believe small details make a big difference to how we feel inside and out, which is why this art is so important.
Through thorough communication, design and completion we will create perfect permanent cosmetics.
Laura Davies
Trained Dental Nurse, Qualified Counsellor, Foot Health Practitioner and Phlebotomy trained.
Laura joined Aesthetics at the end of 2018 after a 20 year career in Aesthetics and Dentistry elsewhere. She is trained in PRGF (Plasma Rich Growth Factors) which can be used for thinning hair or the well renowned prestigious ‘Vampire Facial’. She uses skills aside her knowledge of skin, to combine chemical peels, dermaplaning and cryotherapy to tailor treatment to get you the skin you deserve!
She also trained in the FAT FREEZE technology with Tru Cryo. This uses cryotherapy to safely and effectively reduce fat in stubborn areas. This technology is also excellent for treating inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis and chronic pain.
Laura also qualified in February 2023 in Foot health and can treat hard skin, corns, verrucae, thickened and fungal nails, ingrowing toenails and diabetic feet.
Laura is also the Key Opinion Leader for TruCryo, which means she lectures and demonstrates the cryotherapy technology to other professions wanting to train in this field.
